The Department of Critical Care Medicine (General ICU) at Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital was established in 1999 and has grown into one of the leading critical care centers in Foshan. As the Critical Care Center of Chancheng District, the department provides intensive care services for critically ill patients across Foshan and surrounding areas. The ICU features 20 beds and a multidisciplinary team of more than 60 healthcare professionals, including 1 Chief Physician, 3 Associate Chief Physicians, 4 Attending Physicians, and 5 physicians with master's degrees. It is recognized as a Key Medical Specialty of Chancheng District and a Key Specialty Development Program of Foshan.

The department treats over 1,000 critically ill patients annually, covering conditions such as shock, severe infections, acute respiratory failure, massive gastrointestinal bleeding, severe acute pancreatitis, and postoperative critical care. Equipped with advanced technologies including mechanical ventilation, bedside bronchoscopy, CRRT, critical care ultrasound, PiCCO monitoring, ECMO support, and other life-support therapies, the department has maintained a successful rescue rate of over 90%, delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered critical care.
