The Department of Rheumatology at Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital provides specialized outpatient services and inpatient care, with 6 inpatient beds and a dedicated team of 2 rheumatologists, including 1 Associate Chief Physician. Led by Dr. Guo Zishi, who holds a Doctorate in Rheumatology and Immunology from Sun Yat-sen University, the department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of autoimmune and rheumatic diseases.
The department provides comprehensive care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), ankylosing spondylitis, gout, osteoarthritis, Sjögren's syndrome, dermatomyositis, systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, polymyalgia rheumatica, Behçet's disease, interstitial lung disease, and fever of unknown origin (FUO). As one of the first centers in the region to establish a Specialized Gout Clinic, the department utilizes dual-source CT with 3D imaging for the early diagnosis of gout and multidisciplinary management of complex gout cases in collaboration with the Wound Care Center. It also offers an innovative sequential therapy for rheumatic pain, providing safe and effective treatment for chronic pain associated with rheumatic diseases.
