Dr. Zhang specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and splenic diseases, with extensive expertise in both clinical and basic research.

With 40 years of medical practice, Dr. Zhang served as Chief Physician in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from 2009 to 2024. During his tenure, he published over 60 academic papers and received two provincial-level Science and Technology Progress Awards.

Dr. Zhang has made significant contributions to hepatocellular carcinoma research, with publications in Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research and Cancer Medicine. His studies focus on long noncoding RNAs and their role in cancer progression.
